Stories of #1 Land Grant Parcels by County
Iowa land grant parcels are located in 23-27 counties, the exact number is yet to be determined. To initiate this project, the first parcel leased in each county was identified and the current owner contacted. Upon validation of the ISU Extension and Outreach information that the land was a land grant parcel, the families were interviewed so the story of their connection to the land, Iowa and Iowa State University could be recorded and shared. These are stories from the #1 parcel landowners.
